Carlisle Functional Art Glass Fun Instructor Eli Mazet Carlisle School of Glass Art 412 S. Wade Blvd. Millville, NJ 08332 This is an introduction to functional art glass. Using your basic glass tube tech-niques you will learn how to shape hollow forms into functioning art sculpture. Go beyond "pushing a bowl or popping a hole" as you learn to transform that simple spoon into an owl, a shell, an octopus or a monster - your creativity will bring your piece to life! A brief history of the glass pipe will be included also. Bio: Eli Mazet might be one of the most passionate glass artist you could ever meet. In a few years Eli accomplished a level of skill that would take most people a lifetime. Using the subject matters he has made in glass, he now brings his frogs, whales and the joy of making art to canvas. His work has re-ceived recognition and awards most proudly the Eugene Public Glass School's 2006 'Peoples Choice' award. In addition to his studio work, Eli regularly instructs lamp working from their private studio and at various schools throughout the U.S. Presently his work can be found in private and public collections, fine galleries and museums across the country and internationally. $435 for both days + $50 materials - lunch included.
